The big B word. BIRTH. It is an adventure, never a dull moment, and no matter how many you have been to they always get ya! Watery eyes and all!
My dear friend Sarah has waited so patiently for her daughter and after two gorgeous little rough and tumble boys, who could blame her!? The excitement was palatable. The love that Sarah and William have to share with this child and their whole family was on full display.
I arrived after getting my crew situated and arrived at 5:50 pm. I cut it close lets just say that. But Sarah knew being a wife and Mom of 6 that those things come first. I am so honored to have watched and witnessed her birth. She showed such strength, courage, selflessness and strength.
Annabella Susan Stanley entered the world at 651pm on her late Grandmother Susan’s birthday. What a special day for them to cherish for years to come.
**DISCLAIMER**
The images below are real. There is no pretty pink bow placed strategically to hide portions of what we photographed that night. But then again there is no need for that. The taboo of birth, breastfeeding and being a Mother has become so sad, it is time to tear away those walls. The strength Sarah shows below brought tears of joy to my eyes and I shouted and encouraged her from my place in the room. We all did. She ran a marathon and received the most amazing gold medal. So as you view these images do not laugh, poke fun, and make rude comments to make your squeamishness feel better. Do not hide behind the veil of ignorance. But take the time to appreciate the miracle of birth. Take the time to cheer this Mamma and family on!
With all of my love,
Leslie
