Birth| A Knight in Shinning Armor| Burlington / Greensboro/ Triad Area North Carolina Birt

It always seems to go by so slowly, for the new parents that is. For me, it seems like a client will tell me they are expecting and a week later we are delivering and talking about newborn photos. I am sure the Moms wish it were only a week! But this one seemed to totally fly by.

Luckily, this family is dear to my heart and my family. We were able to experience much more of her pregnancy with her than most of my clients. We documented bi-weekly growth through photos you will see soon!! We had the best time taking maternity photos too!

Well, fast forward to August 29th, we had a session planned for the afternoon for her last progression photo…….the watermelon. I received an email….. today is the day. My blood pressure is too high and we are inducing; so I gave her instructions on when to call me. The day went on and I kept checking….being that first baby I knew not to expect a fast night. Wednesday came and we proceeded on with the day, went to church and “thought” he was going to hang on for me………….He had other plans!

I scrambled through security and made my way to room 174. I honestly wasn’t sure what to expect. I knew Sarah wanted a natural birth. We had even talked about a water birth, tub rentals, and doulas; but I also knew the pain had become too unbearable. What a peaceful room!!! We had low lamp lighting that her husband Duncan was instructed to bring; and did! We also worshiped together to the music playing in the corner waiting for this little one to arrive. Sarah pushed amazingly! Duncan standing beside of her making her laugh intermittently.

With a burst of water like a bubbling fountain little Lachlan made his presence known. After making sure baby was alright and turning like he should the Midwife, Daniella allowed Sarah to reach down and deliver her baby into the world. A beautiful sight. So much strength and so much faith. An absolutely beautiful evening being as close to God physically as one can get this side of heaven, seeing a brand new miracle right before your eyes.

Just see for yourself….
