It’s hard to believe that two weeks have already passed since this sweet little girl was born! Time really does fly when you’re a new parent.
I had the privilege of photographing this beautiful family again in their home just north of Seattle. Big sister and brother, was so excited to meet her new baby sister and gave her lots of kisses. It was so sweet to see the love and bond already forming between them.
The joy of a newborn session is palpable, with both the family and the photographer sharing in the delight of capturing such a special moment. There’s nothing more magical than the feeling of bringing a brand new life into the world, and no better way to commemorate it than with a professional newborn session.
When photographing newborns and their families, there are a few things worth keeping in mind to ensure a smooth and successful session. First, we are mindful of the added responsibility of working with a newborn and make sure that we are prepared. Second, set the tone of the session with an aware environment, from the temperature of the room and the items we have selected to use during the session and minimising distractions. Lastly, we are prepared for unexpected challenges such as fussiness, by having pacifiers and other calming items on hand. With careful preparation and the right photographer, you can ensure a delightful newborn session that captures the joy, love, and wonder of a brand new life!
