Documenting the First Weeks with Baby Sister: A Family’s New Chapter

Visiting a family to capture the early moments of a newborn in the house is always a special experience. There’s something magical about those first few weeks—when the baby is still figuring out the world, and everyone else is adjusting to the whirlwind of new routines and emotions. I recently had the joy of spending some time with a family welcoming their sweet baby girl, and it was a great session with tender moments and adorable surprises.

The big brother was a little more hesitant when it came to showing love to his baby sister. In the early days, he didn’t exactly rush to shower her with affection, but he definitely had his own way of being part of the new sibling dynamic. His favorite thing? Zooming around the house on his trusty trike, all while flashing the most charming smiles. There was something so endearing about his sense of independence and how he navigated this new world with a mix of curiosity and playfulness.

Meanwhile, baby sister was blissfully unaware of her big brother's growing interest, happily snoozing away in her cozy spot. But as the days go on, I'm sure those precious bonding moments will come, as big brother learns what it means to share his space with a little one. For now, though, his smiles as he rode around and peeked at his sister from afar were enough to melt anyone's heart. It's beautiful to witness the beginning of this lifelong journey of siblinghood, one smile at a time.
